Black Country Museum

Year 2 loved stepping back in time when they visited The Black Country Museum. They explored the Victorian open air museum, with great interest. They visited the school room and experienced what it would be like to be a Victorian schoolchild. They Squeezed into a living area of a Victorian house, they couldn't believe how tiny it was. They noted lots of differences in the way they lived, like gas lighting, clothes drying racks, the toys they used to play with and the different clothing and food. The children had a super day and it was a great engaging way to jump into such a fantastic unit of work.
