We are a single form entry semi-rural primary school located in the village of Binley Woods on the outskirts of Coventry. Our school is set in extensive grounds and adjoins a woodland area which we use to support our curriculum. The school also has a pre-school (Woodlands Pre-School) which comes under the governance of the school and is run as an integral part of our Foundation Stage.
We are very proud of our children who are confident and happy at school. We want our children to develop an enthusiasm for learning along with gaining the key skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future lives. We are committed to providing them with a high quality education which stimulates, encourages and challenges them to become independent and active learners with a sense of responsibility and purpose. Our curriculum is connected, well sequenced and relevant to our children's lives in the local area. The children's personal development is central to all we do and is intertwined with academic learning.
Binley Woods Primary School provides a safe and welcoming environment. All children are nurtured and encouraged to be their best. One of our key aims is to help children develop their independence along with an understanding of their own responsibilities in terms of both their learning and behaviour. We understand that children need to feel good about themselves if they are to succeed and we place great importance on the development of children's well being and self-esteem.
